The Bhagavad Gita presents several paths of yoga — karma (action), jnana (knowledge), and bhakti (devotion). Of these, Krishna declares bhakti to be the most excellent.
Bhakti yoga consists of nine primary practices: hearing about God, chanting His names and glories, remembering Him, serving His lotus feet, worshipping His deity form, offering prayers, becoming His servant, making friends with Him, and surrendering everything to Him.
The most accessible practice in this age is sankirtan — the congregational chanting of the Hare Krishna maha-mantra. Anyone can begin by simply attending a kirtana at the temple.
